"METTA" O COMPASSIONATE: A SIMPLE EXERCISE FOR ALL.

Carlos Bardón, the Maitreya Buddhist Centre de Asturias ago recently was giving a seminar in Vigo by the Association Galicia - Tibet. My students of Tibetan Yoga and meditation were able to hear in our hospital, where he went gently to give a lecture, as is usual with him. Carlos said that true meditation is based on compassion to be developing internally, reflecting on the causes of suffering (such as impermanence, for example), to eliminate ignorance and expand the Buddha consciousness, which is our original nature. This meditation "metta" or generating compassion is a good step for the beginner:

1) Meditate with the clear thought and the desire of why and what is practiced. All exercises are positive if they put in our motivation and perseverance.

2) Imagine every pore of your body out a beam of white light, which expands into a cloud of bright, clear light that surrounds you.

Repeat mentally :

rejection of my all hatred, envy, anger, or attachment (think about it a moment, then continues): I only accept Good and Love to help release me from suffering to all sentient beings. (It also reflects on this and all the implications.)

This exercise can be done anytime, anywhere. Be consistent, since meditation requires learning and discipline.
